Free house cleaning estimate template
A fill-in estimate for residential cleaning: recurring cleans, one-time deep cleans, and move-in or move-out cleans. Type it in on this page, then print it or save it as a PDF to send. The gray hints in each line are only suggestions and don't print.
Nothing leaves your device. Everything you type into the estimate stays in this browser tab. It isn't uploaded, saved, or sent anywhere, so refreshing or closing the page clears it. Save as PDF before you close it.
What a house cleaning estimate should spell out
"Clean the house" means something different to every customer. Writing down the home, the type of clean, and what's included keeps expectations matched to the price and makes the first visit go smoother. A few habits help:
- The home you priced. Note bedrooms, bathrooms, rough square footage, pets, and anything that changes the time, like a lot of clutter or a long gap since the last clean.
- Type of clean. Say whether this is a standard clean, a first-time deep clean, or a move-in or move-out clean, and price a first deep clean on its own line if regular visits come after it.
- Recurring visits and schedule. For weekly, every-other-week, or monthly service, give the price per visit and the schedule, and say how you handle skipped or rescheduled visits and late cancellations.
- What's included, room by room. List the basics (kitchen, bathrooms, dusting, floors) and what's not included unless added, such as dishes, laundry, or heavy decluttering.
- Add-ons on their own lines. Inside the oven or fridge, inside cabinets, interior windows, baseboards, or blinds get separate lines, so the customer can pick and choose.
- Supplies and access. Say whether you bring the supplies and equipment or use the customer's, any products to avoid (allergies, pets, natural stone), and how you'll get in: someone home, a key, or a door code.
- Valid-until date and payment terms. Say how long the price holds, when payment is due (after each visit or billed monthly), and how you take payment.
For the longer walk-through (scope wording, exclusions, change orders, sign-off), see how to write a contractor estimate.
This is a general template, not legal or tax advice. Some states and cities charge sales tax on cleaning services or require a business license, so check what applies to you. Follow the label directions on any cleaning product you use.
