Free pressure washing invoice template
A fill-in invoice for pressure washing and soft washing jobs: a driveway, a whole-house wash, or a deck and fence. Type it in on this page, then print it or save it as a PDF to send. The gray hints in each line are only suggestions and don't print.
Nothing leaves your device. Everything you type into the invoice stays in this browser tab. It isn't uploaded, saved, or sent anywhere, so refreshing or closing the page clears it. Save as PDF before you close it.
What a pressure washing invoice should spell out
A customer can see a clean driveway, but a single total doesn't show which surfaces were done, how, or why one old oil spot is still faintly there. The invoice should match the estimate line for line and add up without a phone call. A few habits help:
- Point back to the estimate. Put the estimate number and the service date in the header, so the customer can lay the two side by side.
- One line per surface, worded like the estimate. House siding, driveway, patio, deck, fence, and a roof soft wash if you offer one each get their own line, in the same words the estimate used.
- How each line was priced. Say whether it's by the square foot, by the linear foot (fences), or a flat price, and give the size you priced from, just as the estimate did.
- Pressure wash or soft wash. Name the method on each surface line, so the customer can see the siding or roof got the low-pressure soft wash the estimate described.
- Add-ons on their own lines. Stain treatment, sealing, gutter brightening, or a second visit go on separate lines, not folded into a surface.
- Extra work added on site, on its own lines. If the customer asked for another surface while you were there (the back of the fence, a side walkway), list it separately and note that they OK'd it and how, for example "approved in person, 10/14".
- Stain results, as stated on the estimate. If the estimate said a rust or oil stain might lighten without coming out fully, describe the result in the same plain terms ("oil spot treated, lightened, not fully removed, as noted on the estimate"). Don't describe results the estimate didn't promise.
- Damage that was there before. Repeat anything you noted before you started, such as chalky or peeling paint, loose mortar or caulk, failing window seals, or soft deck boards, and how you handled it.
- Water and runoff, if the estimate covered it. Note whether you used the customer's outdoor spigot and how plants and wash water were handled, as agreed.
- Before and after photos with the invoice. Send a few photos of each surface along with the invoice. They answer most "did you do the back?" questions before anyone asks.
- Deposit paid, and the balance due. If the customer paid a deposit, subtract it so the balance due is the biggest, clearest number on the page. (Thinking about asking for one? See how to ask for a deposit.)
- A real due date. "Due on receipt" or an actual date is easier to follow up on than "net 30."
- How to pay, in one step. Put your own payment link on the invoice (from the payment service you already use), plus who checks are payable to. The fewer steps, the sooner you get paid.
- If it's late, a polite reminder. A short, friendly note with the invoice attached and the payment link again usually does it. See the follow-up section of how to write an invoice that gets paid on time for wording.
