Free junk removal invoice template
A junk removal invoice bills the price you quoted: one all-in price for the load, or the lines that make it up, such as the volume, a minimum charge, a disposal fee, item surcharges, and labor. Add extra items the customer OK'd on site, subtract what they already paid, and show the balance due. Print it or save it as a PDF. Built for haulers who quote a price before they load.
Nothing you type leaves your device. Everything you type into the invoice stays in this browser tab. What you type isn't uploaded, saved, or sent anywhere, so refreshing or closing the page clears it. Save as PDF before you close it.
What a junk removal invoice should spell out
A customer can check a junk removal invoice quickly when it matches what you quoted, either as one all-in price or line for line. A few habits help:
- One total, added up for you. If you quoted one all-in price, bill that one line. If you itemize, the page adds the lines up, so the total always matches the breakdown. To show that something is covered by the all-in price, write it on its own line with "(included)" and leave the amount blank; the line shows "included" and adds nothing.
- Volume, as quoted. Give the price, or a range by volume, before you load. If the load comes out bigger than quoted, tell the customer the new price and get their OK before you haul it, and note how they OK'd it (for example "approved on site, 10/23").
- Minimum charge, only if you quoted one. Bill it on its own line, the way the quote stated it.
- Disposal or dump fee. If you bill it at cost, say so and attach a photo of the dump receipt. If it's a flat fee you set, call it a disposal fee and don't call it "at cost." If disposal is built into your all-in price, you don't need a separate charge or a receipt; you can add a line that says "Disposal (included)."
- Item surcharges, per item, as quoted. Mattresses, tires, appliances, and TVs each get a line with the count and the per-item price you quoted.
- Labor, if you quoted it. Stairs, a long carry, or heavy items, billed the way the quote listed them.
- Donated or recycled, only if it happened. Write "donated" or "recycled" on a line only if that's what happened, and keep the receipt or drop-off record.
- What you can haul. Rules on what you can haul and where it can go, including paint, tires, appliances with refrigerant, and electronics, vary by state and county, so check your local rules.
- When to get paid. Take payment when the job is done, before you leave, or send the invoice the same day. If you sign up and price the job at the customer's home, cancellation rules may apply, so check your local rules.
- Paid so far, the balance due, and a real due date. Subtract any deposit or amount already paid so the balance due is the biggest, clearest number on the page. (Took a deposit to hold the date? See the deposit invoice template.) "Due on receipt" or an actual date is easier to follow up on than "net 30."
- How to pay, in one step. Put your own payment link on the invoice (from the payment service you already use), plus who checks are payable to. The fewer steps, the sooner you get paid.
This is a general template, not legal, tax, or insurance advice. Sales tax, disposal and recycling rules, and cancellation rules for jobs sold at a customer's home vary by state and county, so check your local rules and your insurance.

Questions
Should I bill one all-in price or itemize?
Bill it the way you quoted it. If you quoted one all-in price, bill that one line. If you itemize, the page adds the lines up, so the total always matches the breakdown. To show what the all-in price covers, add lines marked "(included)" with no amount.
How do I put the dump fee on the invoice?
If you bill it at cost, say so and attach a photo of the dump receipt. If it's a flat fee you set, call it a disposal fee and don't call it "at cost." If disposal is part of your all-in price, a line that says "Disposal (included)" is enough.
What if the load is bigger than I quoted?
Tell the customer the new price and get their OK before you haul it, and note how they OK'd it, for example "approved on site, 10/23". Bill the extra on its own line, such as the volume line or "Extra items OK'd on site."
When should I get paid for a junk removal job?
Take payment when the job is done, before you leave, or send the invoice the same day. If you sign up and price the job at the customer's home, cancellation rules may apply, so check your local rules.
